As with all that is brewing, the final stage of beer is the keg for me and I want to make sure everything is clean as can be. This got me thinking of a keg washer, it can double up to wash the fermenters and kettle too, but we'll get to that. Had a look at some spray balls but they are REALLY expensive, so I'm making some [emoji3]

Could be used as a sprinkler for the garden as well. :p

I picture your washer standing in a deep basin of some sort with the spray ball rigged up to a pump which will pump and circulate soapy water so that you can clean the inside of the kegs nicely, rather than standing in the middle of the garden spraying lots of water onto the grass... ? (just a thought)...

The second picture explains it best, the hose was just there to top up the bucket. I make up a 20 liter batch of cleaner, the pump is at the bottom of the bucket, once you slide the keg over it, it sprays the cleaning solution, as it returns to the bucket, it gets used again. The fun ting is I can clean kegs and sit on my ass and drink beer while its doing it all by it self :)

How did you make the spray ball? What pump do you have?

The pump is a 8500 liter pond pump with a 1" output, went to builders and got a 1" to 3/4" reducer and a 3/4" sprinkler riser. Cut it in half and glued the sprayball on. Printed it on this, a Morgan I made from scratch, the designer is a local from Pretoria, won the GADA prize for his design, the carbon fiber arms is my addition to the project

The trick with this is that you spray 360 degrees, I might print some more if there is interest, to trade for beer stuff [emoji3]

I'd be keen. I have 5 kegs already.
