So now that our brewing pot was stolen,we went looking for replacements.
A local pawnshop has a nice 200L stainless pot but it has rust spots on one part of the inside wall.
Now rust spots can happen on stainless if a) somebody has saturated the surface with iron or mild steel from a grinding wheel or b) from high temp welding.

In this case, I think it was the former reason.
Has anybody got experience in refurbishing/cleaning stainless steel? I don't want to waste money on a pot that could potential add off-flavours.
