    Sugar beer

    Hi,

Has anyone brewed a "beer" that is just sugar, water and hops?

    A Hoppy Refresher?

They(Lagunitas) make THESE ... not adding enough sugar to do a ferment and produce alcohol, but apparently very nice on the tongue nonetheless

I suppose fermenting a little dextrose in the water to add a buzz might work

I might enter it in a competition as a castle clone...

It's a horrible idea I know. But I'm not sure even with the new malt I bought that I will be able to finish the year with the current lockdown and still have beer.

Have you considered a "hard seltzer" similar to White Claw? Not beer, not cider, but something - heaps of recipes online

I don't keg yet, so its a bit hard to do. I do brew Hard Sima, which is a hard lemonade that is easily made so it is clear.
