  • my brew stopped bubbling

its my first batch of munich lager from the copper tun kit using the kit yeast that came with the can.

i started the fermentation the past saturday, by sunday night until monday morning it was bubbeling non stop through the airlock.

i dont see any bubeling anymore, is it done? could there be something wrong?
i also forgot to take a reading with the hydro meter when i started, and in the instructions it says i must take a reading, how do you do that, must i open the tin, cus its on the floor so cant use the tap and dont want to disturb the setup by picking it up

the instructions said it must be fermented for 5 to 7 days

Most of the fermentation will be complete within 48-72 hours, so your situation is nothing to worry about... you might still get a bubble or two every couple of minutes. Fermentation will still continue for a while, albeit very slowly.

As regards taking a reading , you will now not know what your OG is, so will not have a true indication of ABV, but at least you can monitor fermentation still. When the FG is stable over 2-3 days you know fermentation is complete. Don't worry about lifting the fermenter.. doesn't matter if it gets a little disturbed
Give a man a beer, waste an hour. Teach a man to brew, and waste a lifetime!

Best bet is to just leave it as is. After a week take an FG reading & repeat for 2-3days, if the reading stays the same you know fermentation has stopped & is now safe to bottle. I had the same issue with my first brew of the same kit. If you can, try to save a couple of bottles for a month or two.
