So, a little while back I bought a few, but never got around to share my thoughts. So here goes...
Drayman’s Jolly Monk Rauchbier
Overall Impression – 7/10
The beer pours easy with the head forming rapidly. No visible yeast at the bottom of the bottle after the pour.
The beer has a dense head that is light brownish in colour and dissipates fast.
The colour of the beer is brown in colour or SRM23 (no expert here).
Medium smoke aroma with a hint of malt aroma and a very delicate hop aroma.
First sip seems brazen with smoke but quickly dissipates as malt and hop character develops.
Medium dry clean lager character with a lingering smoke and malt flavour. Hop flavour real subtle
and dissipates fast after recognition. Medium body with medium carbonation.
