I was thinking of this, but the hops I'm not sure of, maybe a combo of Citra, Mosaic and / or Amarillo?:

The hops on the notes are SAB hops. What is your brew length?

No clue, he didn't give volumes at all. He gave %, so you could scale it accordingly.

The recipe that Jakeslouw posted is close to 9kg of grain and 3 packages of yeast but the og is only 46. The hops and IBUs further suggest a larger volume than 20 l. Thats why I want to know volume, in his recipe I do not see any % to scale.

The second recipe in the picture only say 4% wheat, guess a towenaar may brew a beer with that.

It wasn't a recipe, more like guidelines.

Maybe if you take a standard pale ale recipe and then use the guidelines to tweak it. I love devil peak's block house ipa.

                      40L fermenter volume

I coincidentally ordered some Southern Passion and Southern Promise yesterday for my fridge.

The 90min boil is interesting. When did he pitch the hops?

I took a standard Golden Ale recipe and added some hops based on the aroma and flavour as mentioned on the DP beer description.

OK so the brew went well, just worrying about the fermentation now. I really need a better system with a fermentation chamber.
                        Here's the final recipe attached.

Efficiency with BIAB is 70% on the dot.

The strange 10 minute hops addition was just some late minute creativity to boost aroma and IBUs, I reckon you can stay with 60 and 5 minutes.

Looking good. Holding thubs for the fermentation.

I would brew my version with 2 or 3 changes.
I took out the biscuit and added wheat malt to 4% as indicated

                          Pilsner (2 Row) Ger (2.0 SRM) Grain 1 68.20%
                          Vienna Malt (3.5 SRM) Grain 2 22.70%
                          Cara-Pils/Dextrine (2.0 SRM) Grain 3 4.5%
                          Wheat Malt (2 SRM) Grain 4 4.5%
I dont have the local hops but will go with 10g Magnum (5g@60min and 5g@45) and 20g cascade (10g@20min and 10g@10) = 16 IBU

                          Est Original Gravity: 1.048 SG
                          Est Final Gravity: 1.012 SG
Estimated Alcohol by Vol: 4.3 %
                          Bitterness: 16.1 IBUs
                          Est Color: 3.3 SRM
It might be a bit pale @ 3.3 SRM but then if I swop the Vienna (3.5) for Munich (9) the SRM goes up to 4.8 SRM.

Then again it might be a completely different beer by nowIt would be interesting to hear what more experienced guys would do?

Sounds like a fun experiment if we brew a few different version of the same "basic idea" and excange some beers.

The notes I had from the DP brewer indicated an IBU of around 20, so yours needs a touch of comething like more Cascade or even Simco or Chinook. This can almost be considered a Light Pale Ale. In fact, Devils Peal calls it First Light.

Wheat malt came across on some other versions of Golden Ale. It would be interesting to taste one made with that to compare mouthfeel and taste.

I would add more hops after the diacetyl rest. Why? Why not!
