what a beautiful day!!!. driving in through Muizenberg ,St James, Kalk Bay and Fish hoek made this worth every km. Who could tell that we're in Winter, it was a balmy 18°C and even the roadworks at Kalk Bay Harbour was nothing but an opportunity to to take in the culture of Capetown. People walking EVERYWHERE. where they were going to I had no idea, but there was couple and families and friends and CYCLISTS of course. Then the brass band came along withe the initials MAID( Make an Immediate Difference). they played while walking, they played while standing, but the cacophony of sounds from this experience just made me appreciate the fact that i live in this Mother City and LOVE it!!!! Then arriving at Valley Brewery and finding a lovely relaxed crowd who was quaffing away at the beverages presented. Glen Greeted me by saying" i Know you You! you that brewing fellah by the name of Vlakte. i laughed and said yeah, KaapseVlakte. Bouth a tray of of tasters and squeezed in with some other Capies. the conversation was rich and informative. later chats with Franz of Reserve Edge of Red Hill( Scarborough) was enlighting and informative. Glen was the ultimate consummate host. being everywhere and still having time to chat (and sell). All in All a very splendid affair.
