Seeing all of these Grainfather Conicals has really made me jealous! Busy working on a DIY version. See attached images.
Have had an 80mm ferule and screw on lid welded to the bottom of a slimline 30L keg, and the idea is to use the coupler (with the short dip tube) to draw the beer out, much like the GF conical valve (but without the nice yeast dump feature).
The next step is to put a 15m 1/4inch copper coil around the outside and then insulate it somehow ... Any ideas? Was thinking neoprene but it's quite pricey. Could use a camping/yoga matt, but still want it to look good.
