Where can I find hop rhizomes in South Africa? I think I am ready to grow some of my own hops.

They don't grow very well here (up in the north) - they grow but they don't flower. Reason - we don't have enough day light. I read about a guy that tried it and he had to install huge floodlights to get them to flower.
Thank you.
Was just an idea anyway, will continue buying my hops then.

Thank you for the link. Very useful. Maybe I can cultivate some hops. Will see if I can source some of those hops from George.

Old thread I know. I doubt that you will have much luck growing them. Try ordering bulk from SAB Hop FarmsTel: +27 44 802 8400 Fax: +27 44 870 7550 Mobile: +N/A Email: Beatrix.Wells@za.sabmiller.com
The southern dawn can be overpowering - I use it very sparingly. I use the US4/78 a lot but must confess I like it because it is cheap. R126-00 per kg postage included in Feb 2013.
