    Cider made from pantry ingredients

I made a batch of cider which is currently fermenting.
Any advice on fermenting time and bottling? I'm thinking that I can drink some in a week and bottle for another 5-7 days to get some carbonation?
Is there significant value on maturation?
Lastly, any idea how much alcohol I could be producing?
    Note: My hydrometer broke

    Ingredients:
3kg Apples juiced, 20% pulp included
    3.5kg Sugar
2 lemons juiced with 2 tea bags (apparently to assist the yeast)
    Anchors Brewers yeast
12l final volume in the fermenter

Still bubbling consistently after 3 days

    Regards,

    John

Well...I do 4kg sugar on 20l water for sugarwashes to distill, its not clean ethanol for consumption. Around 1.1 ish OG and assuming 1.01 FG, around 12% ABV.

The fructose should help the yeast a bit and fermentation might slow down some in a few days. You're likely in for a blighter of a headache with all those fusels. At the very least dilute it with something

Edit: the citric from the lemon juice will assist the yeast for sure, the tea bags reminds me of kombucha

The few packet ciders I e brewed have only benefitted from aging. The ciders matured nicely and kept on improving for 3 months

We're doing one this afternoon to be a video on our new YT channel.

Basically 1 gallon apple juice and 1kg sugar gives a "hard cider".

3kg apples to 3kg sugar is gonna knock your sox off............

Cool video and would really like to see how it turned out! From videos I have seen on YT, I thought that you would have to use 100% pure juice, as the ones in the store has preservatives in to avoid going bad quickly, which also doesn't help the yeast that you are adding. Can't wait for an update!!!
