  • Keg Lube

    Hi,
    Been kegging for more than a year now and have never used Keg Lube or anything in it's place. I'm interested to know;
    1) Who uses Keg lube or similar?
    2) Why?
    3) Where do you get it? Or what local equivilant do you use?
    Cheers
    Cameron.

    Good old fashioned KY does exactly the same. It just preserves the life of your seals and o rings.

          i use this ...

          20200218_140623.jpg

          its NSF H1 approved

          It keeps the seals soft and prevents them from 'cracking' easily.

          Much easier .... this way i can leave the KY in the bedroom

            And it's less embarrassing to buy...

              Try to avoid the sprays, they normally have petroleum based propellants which are not good for your o rings long term.

              https://pressurewashr.com/silicone-l...ubber-o-rings/

              I bought from bearing Man Group a tub of silicon grease for about R180 and it is enough to last a lifetime. Also Spanjaard branded

                Thanks all - so that seems a resounding - yes we use it as well

                    Vaseline is also a food safe lube. I have used it to lube moving parts in the brew group of my coffee machine for years.
