  • Yeah, I have a range of Erlenmeyers of varying sizes. Also a proper stirplate, glass and plastic vials, alc bath for "freezing" and glycerine for storing. I need to get in the swing of things, instead of..." I'll wash for reuse " To be honest, I lost the majority of my original kveik voss strain when I stupidly bumped an Erlenmeyer off the table after a wash, 'twas "fun" to clean and a great loss to boot. Luckily LC has those Kveiks now, so it's all good still

          • The last of my RIS that I brewed in 2014.

Using that base recipe tomorrow for a crazy brew. More to follow, if the idea works.

            Thanks for the welcomes

It was... Ok. The beer was clean and has good stout notes, but it was too thin for style.

                        • The result from THIS

Im happy with the outcome although still not sure how far this is off from style and also don't recall ever tasting a dark lager? Im picking up coffee more than anything else on this one at the moment, but I like it Day 3 in keg, so Im sure it will change a lot as the keg gets closer to empty

                          • That looks good, what do you have in it? I was too curious and tapped my rye ale (terrapin clone) here's the first glass, need to carbonate and clear some more, delicious for my first attempt with rye, Crystal rye and melanoidin

                            • One very aggressive fermentation. The curious part is that this is a low ABV Brown Porter.
